Audible.

Comedy Channel FOOH

Project Overview.

Working with social agency, Recipe and Audible we were brought on board to develop a new Faux CG social video to raise awareness of Audible’s comedy series. With the influencer, Austyn Farrell, as the unwitting star of the film we used UGC film and VFX to unfurl a comedy of errors that lead to the destruction of an Audible transit van.

Production.

With a short production lead time, we started by scouting suitable locations for our film, ensuring that all surfaces were highly trackable through photogrammetry and initial testing. We worked with the client to develop the narrative for the film, working up storyboards for the action to ensure all parties were aligned before moving into production.

With a Shoreditch location approved, we carried out multiple test shots and previsualisations to choreograph the timings of our physical talent and props with the camera movements required for post production. With timings and shot lists agreed, we shot over 1 day with the talent to capture our plate UGC style footage ready for VFX.

Post-Production.

With a lot of assets to include in CG through our film we started by building out our CG models, before developing a full previs of the scene using the approved rushes from the shoot day.

Once the timings and models had been approved we started development of lighting and texturing for our models to give them a highly realistic feel. Compositing our CG into the UGC style footage was key to create a believable and photo-realistic appearance, ensuring colour grade and shadows felt true to life and well and truly bedded into the footage.
